So the summer months have rolled in, the Dubai Summer Surprises has started, and people are getting ready for some much needed vacation time. Well, in order to keep all you great people entertained, I will be posting up an interview with someone from Channel 4 every month. So you can look forward to getting to know better the people who bring you today's hit music! Interview # 1 due to be posted shortly...keep checking the blog!

Okay, so its been forever since I posted..sue me! Have had a couple of things on my hands, so blogging had to take a backseat. Summer heat just slows everthing down! Anyhoo, plans for my vacation are going ahead, which is a relief! FINALLY got a new passport picture done that actually looks like me! Anyway, enough of my complaining...if you want to have some fun, then stop by the Rock Bottom Cafe to meet Josh and Don who will be there on Friday after 8pm for karaoke and lots of fun. Just make sure you're not this woman..

Well, after years of tuning in to Channel 4 FM, I finally got the chance to go down to the station today! Popped by in the morning and got to meet Neal and Vicky which was really great...also ran into Laurie and Dave Barnes. A really big thanks to you all, it was really fabulous meeting everyone..and hope you're enjoying the goodies!

Future visits are definately in store during the hot summer months to come!

Since this is World Environmental Week (June 5 - 11), I urge you all to run down to your nearest petrol station and Adopt a Plant. It's a campaign run by the Internation Association for Human Values, and is supported by Channel 4 FM. I adopted my plant this evening, and even gave it a name! I'd like you all to meet Bradley the Banana sapling:





So next time you're on the road, pop into a petrol station from 8pm onwards and do your little part for our world by adopting a plant (they're totally free!). And make sure you give it a name! :)

Today it's Channel 4's 8th birthday! Congrats to everyone down at the station for doing an absolutely fab job keeping us all entertained and listening to the latest music for all these years.

In other news, today is Chocolate Appreciation Day at my house. So, the evening is going to be a blast with some of my friends coming over later on. After some revisions, searching the web, and frantic grocery shopping, here's a rundown of my menu:

• Chocolate Chicken (I'm serious!)
• Chocolate Fondue w/cubed fruit
• Chocolate Mousse
• 1 bottle of good white wine

Yes, we're all going to get insanely high blood sugar levels, but we don't care!

Got my results today after an agonizingly long wait...I'm pleased with them! Now officially on the job hunt with me spamming employers every 2 hours *grin* Finally put up a new pic on my Blogger profile as well! I prefer myself in color to black & white...just ignore the birthday banner hovering near my head! =)


In other news, a chicken has pecked its way out of getting a ticket for jaywalking. Complete coverage available here. It seems that this chicken won't be crossing any more roads in the future. The chicken was not available for comment.
